Bluewater first opened its doors on August 10th of 1987 on a little private lake in a sleepy township called Mariaville, N.Y. We started out selling small sailboats known as "Snarks".
These small crafts hulls were made entirely of compressed styrofoam and encapsulated in fiberglass which, of course, rendered them absolutely unsinkable. They were inexpensive, easily transportable and the ultimate "fun" daysailer.
From Mariaville Lake we moved to our present location on Oneida Lake in Bridgeport, N.Y. in 1991 at which time we began handling Nautical Videos.
At first we handled only a few Boating and Fishing VHS tapes and gradually built our list of titles up to over a thousand VHS and DVDs with new titles being added weekly.
We have recently added a few new categories, such as Hunting, Military, Sport Aviation and Athletics.

The Barmah Australian Outerwear was a perfect compliment to our Outdoor / Sports videos so we decided to carry the Barmah rugged and reliable clothing line to offer to our customers.
